Palmyra - Ed passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 79.  Born to the late Lily and Edgar Duckett, Sr. in Blackburn, England.  He immigrated to the United States with his family at a very young age.  Ed was predeceased by his first wife Marie and granddaughter Jennifer. Ed is survived by his wife, Dorothy Duckett; his children, Mary Kay (Charlie) Burris, Kimberly (Todd) Washburn, Dawn Shafer, and Melissa Duckett. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Pauline Dulany; and nieces and nephews. He was an employee of Garlock Sealing Technology, working in Expansion Joint and the Power House.  He also worked in farming and continued after his retirement.  He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and shooting sporting clays.  He was a member of the Canandaigua Sportsmen's Club.

Calling hours will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM on Saturday (January 4, 2025) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY, followed by a short service at 1 PM. Ed will be privately laid to rest in Palmyra Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456.
