Edward B Maxon, Sodus NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 1, 2022. Ed was born Oct. 28, 1943, in Watertown NY, the son of Jared and Dorothy Maxon. He graduated from Watertown High School and Canton College of Technology. Ed Married Roancy Robinson in 1961 and had 2 children John and Tawny. The marriage ended in divorce. Ed married Janet Allen in 1989 and lived in Ontario NY with her and her 3 children Lori, Katrina, and Kevin. Ed and Jan moved from Ontario, with the help of some close friends, and built a beautiful home in Sodus, NY which is surrounded by beautiful gardens, woods and wildlife.

Ed was employed by Xerox corporation in Henrietta and Webster NY for 27 years and was also a charter boat captain on Lake Ontario for several years. He was also the founder and president of Rochester Trout and Salmon Anglers which he formed in 1977.

Ed enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time in the Adirondacks with Jan where they hiked and paddled for many hours together. Ed especially enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching them play hockey, soccer, and other sports.

Ed is predeceased by his wife Jan, who recently passed in July 2022; and survived by their children, John Maxon and his wife Elaine, Canton NY, Tawny Wicker, Henrietta NY, Lori Bays and her husband Mark, Marion NY, Katie Harris and her husband Jeremy, Macedon NY, and Kevin Allen, Rochester NY. He also has 6 grandchildren, Dean Maxon and his wife Courtney, Andrea Maxon, Dylan Wicker and his wife Tiffany, Alyssa, Dahlia and Owen Harris. Ed has 5 great grandchildren, Roman and Avery Maxon, Paisley, Connor and Baylee Wicker
