Elizabeth "Peg" Contant passed away on her 92nd birthday, November 18, 2013.  Peg was predeceased by her husband Harold in 2006;  brother,  Eugene "Smitty" Smith and his wife Jean Smith; sister, Janet "Elaine" Cook and a niece, Candy Smith.  Peg is survived by her son Jim Contant of Fairport; brother Stu Smith of Macedon; many nieces and a nephew.

Peg worked for the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District as a secretary in the main office and then later as the attendance secretary.  She and her husband, Harold, owned and operated Contant's Garage on West Main Street in the Village of Palmyra.  Peg loved the NBA and enjoyed watching the games on television.  She enjoyed the big bands and had a fondness for dancing.  Peg will be missed by her family.

There will be no prior visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate the life of Peg will offered at the Palmyra United Methodist Church, 109 Church Street (at the corner of West Main Street) Palmyra, NY 14522,  on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 1 PM.    Interment will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church in memory of Peg.
