Greece: Emilia passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at age 98. She was born on April 19, 1917 in Hazleton, PA to the late Giovanni and Filomena DeBellis. Emilia was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lamana; brothers, Neil, Elvidio, Dimitrio, Salvatore and Adam DeBellis. She is survived by her daughters, Anna Mae (Amedeo) Belculfine and Marie (Sam, Jr.) Asposto; grandchildren, Mario (Kristen) Belculfine and Gina (Primo) Mussumeci; great grandchildren, Ella, Olivia and Adam Belculfine, Vincent and Daniella Mussumeci; sister, Yolanda Ruggeri; sisters-in-law, Agnes DeBellis of Virginia and Eleanor DeBellis of California; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Emilia was a retiree of Bausch and Lomb after 25 years. She was a member of the Knights of St. John-Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Auxillary #285.
Friends may join the family for calling hours on Sunday (March 13) from 4-7 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14612. Emilia's Funeral Mass will be held on Monday (March 14) at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W. Ridge Rd., Rochester, NY 14626. Interment in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Hazleton, PA. Contributions in Emilia's name may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, ATTN: Donations, 3111 Winton Rd. S, Rochester NY, 14623.
