Macedon - Esther passed away suddenly on November 29, 2024 at age 62.  She was predeceased by her parents Palmer and Mary Jane Oien. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Carl; children, Douglas (Sarah) Ackerman and Allison (Shane) Tribley; grandchildren, Kara, Cade, and Scarlett; brothers, Paul (Kim) Oien and Philip (Sarah) Oien.

Esther was a hard worker.  She worked at Walmart for many years and was a food helper at Pal-Mac Primary School.  She loved the children and loved to decorate for various holidays including Halloween and Christmas.  Esther decorated the cafeteria this past Tuesday for the upcoming holiday season.  She will be greatly missed by the children and the entire staff at Pal-Mac School District.

Friends and family may gather from 3-6 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels 1040 Route 31 Macedon, NY 14502.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6th at 10 AM  at White Haven Memorial Park  210 Marsh Rd.
