Florence “Fuzzy” Taber

Fairport/ Macedon. Fuzzy died peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2026, after a short illness. She was born Friday, October 29, 1943, and spent her life loving her family and volunteering in her community. Fuzzy graduated from North Rose High School. She spent many years caring for children in her home and then worked at the Fairport Central School District as a bus driver. Following her retirement from driving, she filled her time caring for her grandchildren and family. As the grandchildren got older, she became a regular participant at the East Rochester Senior Center. Fuzzy was an active member of the Macedon Fire Department for 47 years. She continued her love of fire apparatus as a member of Genesee Valley SPAAMFAA for many years. She, and her family, were regular participants at fire musters, showing off her antique ambulance and other equipment.

Fuzzy is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert, of 59 years. She is survived by children Robert (Debbie), Karyn; grandchildren Trisha (Evan) and Justin, and many friends and family. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-7pm, with a service to follow on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
