She also is survived by sisters in laws, Joyce Johnson and Shirley Perry, brother-in-law, Lynn Kelley and dozens of nieces, nephews and many beloved friends.

June lived in California, after moving from Arkansas as a child, for 82 years before moving to Macedon, New York. She attended night school in 1973 and received her GED and became a certified Medical Assistant. She worked for many doctors associated with Brookside Hospital in San Pablo, California. She retired in 2018.

June excelled at so many hobbies. She crocheted /knitted over 25 twin size blankets for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and church babies as well as many layette sets for family and friends. She also was an excellent seamstress and could make anything you gave her a pattern for. She was an excellent cook, baker and also enjoyed refinishing furniture. There was no challenge to difficult. She assisted Don in tiling their entry way and bathrooms, helped paint the exterior of the house, did countless hours of yard work and refinished her hardwood floors. She did all of this while raising a family and working. She took up golf at the age of 35 and was very competitive golfer. She and Don were members of the Richmond Golf and Country Club where she played on the Ladies team. She accomplished a hole in one after only 5 years of playing the sport. June decided to embark on a second career as a Mary Kay cosmetics representative. She loved meeting with the ladies and teaching them beauty techniques. Of course she excelled at this endeavor also, winning many awards. She stopped actively selling products in 2022.

June accepted Jesus as her savior on Father’s Day 1968. As she did everything else in life, she gave it her all. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in San Pablo, California for 5 years, Pinole Valley Assembly of God in Pinole, California for 16 years and Full Gospel Fellowship in Hercules, California, later renamed The Grove, until she moved to New York. While in New York she attended Victory Church and the Silver Belles ladies prayer group. June was an amazing praise and worship leader in her first 3 churches. She was guided by the Holy Spirit and so enjoyed singing and praising. June was a Biblical scholar. She spent countless hours studying Gods word and loved to share her knowledge. She taught dozens of classes over the years for all age groups from kindergarten age to Seniors. She led ladies Prayer meetings both in her home and at the church in Hercules. Her fellow church members became extended family, and they knew that they could safely confide in her. She never hesitated to give Bibles to anyone, even someone she had just met. She always had a few in her car to give away. When she moved to New York her presence at the Grove was missed.

Even with all the busyness of work, church and hobbies, first and foremost she was the best Grandma and Granny ever. Her family was her reason for getting up every day. She reveled in the presence of her grandchildren and then embraced being a Granny to the great-grandchildren. She always had current videos and pictures to show. She went to countless piano and vocal recitals, musicals, plays, baseball games, football games, basketball games, lacrosse games, soccer matches and golf excursions. The last 3 1/2 years she would push her walker to lacrosse, soccer, baseball, football and even hockey games. June would travel to her grandson's college football games in upstate NY. It would make her day when the out of state grandkids and great grandkids would FaceTime her. They would talk about everything and nothing. Many would call for advice and prayer.

At her request, no formal funeral services will be held. If you want a way to honor her, buy a Bible and give it away or visit an elderly person and brighten their day.

Burial was held privately at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo, California where she was laid to rest beside her love of a lifetime Don.

It's not goodbye, its until we meet again.
