Fox, Frederica   "Sugar"

Macedon:  Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2016 with her husband, Harold, by her side.  Sugar was born in New York City to the late George and Blanche "Martone" Cito.  She was raised, and lived for many years, in Westchester County. She is predeceased by her brother George C. Cito, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Harold M. Fox; daughter, Diane Constance Fox (Charles) Pekunka; son Christopher Carl (Carol) Fox; grandchildren, Elizabeth Pekunka, Danielle Fox and Michael Fox; brother-in-law Philip Fox, niece Kimberly (Fox) Hancher; nephew Harold C. Fox;  extended family and friends.

Sugar and Harold moved to Macedon in 1997.  They had formerly lived in Tarrytown and Ossining, NY.  They were married on September 9, 1956 at the Church of the Transfiguration in Tarrytown, NY. Sugar had a passion for her family.  She was very protective of her husband, children and grandchildren.  Harold states that she was "very supportive" of both he and the children.  She was a homemaker and took it very seriously.  She also looked out for her parents.  Shortly after she and Harold were married, her father suffered a stroke. Subsequently, Sugar and Harold had George and Blanche move in with them where they would continue to reside for the next forty years. Aside from her family, Sugar had a strong faith and very much enjoyed cooking.  She was a feisty lady with a strong commitment to her family and God.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, but remembered for the wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and daughter that she was throughout her life.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 3-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11AM at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Walworth-Ontario Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery (St. Mary's of the Lake), Ontario, NY 14519.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to the American Diabetes Association,160 Allens Creek Road, Building 160, 1st floor, Rochester, NY 14618, or the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049
