George Edward Bailey
Palmyra/San Antonio, TX: Passed away on October 27, 2014 at age 81 at the Seneca Nursing Home. George was born on May 27, 1933 to Asa and Myrtle Bailey in Ithaca, NY. He served in the United States Army as active duty from 1953-1955 and transferred to the Army Reserves to complete 8 years under the Universal Training and Service Act. George worked as a crane operator, but in his free time he enjoyed a passion for motorcycles and was a founding father of the Palmyra Racing Association.
George is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Kirsten Forman-Bailey) Bailey, Robert Bailey, David (Marcia Roberts) Bailey, Roger (Mary Lannon) Bailey, Donald (MaryJo) Bailey and Lane Bailey; grandchildren, Kim, Becky, Kerri, Dean, Rachel, Tommy, Chad, Seth, Chelsie and Mackenzie. He was predeceased by his wife, Corlis and 8 siblings.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to The Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in George's memory.
