George Hiram Eckhardt, born on July 29, 1945, beloved husband, father, grandfather, twin, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on July 21, 2025, eight days from his 80th birthday. George, also known as "Hi", was predeceased by his parents, Jacque and Anna Eckhardt, sister, Sandra (Robert) White, brother, Jacque (Barbara) Eckhardt, sister-in-law, Dorothy (John) James, brother-in-law, Gary (Mary) Wheeler.

George is survived by wife, Barbara; children, Theresa Parsons and Jason Eckhardt (Terri Currier Eckhardt); grandchildren, Stephen, Paige, and William Parsons; siblings, twin Deborah (Robert) Harris, Lela (William) Lathrop, and Jill; in-laws, Robert (Sandra) White, Barbara (Jacque) Eckhardt, Mary (Gary) Wheeler, Bonnie Murray, Robert (Vicki) Dixson, Emily (Billy) Boyer, John (Dorothy) James, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

George was a retired UA-Local 13 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union member. Originally from Lockport, New York, George and Barb (from Potsdam) lived in Farmington for 60 years.
