Germain Lareau January 9, 1934 – August 27, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Germain Lareau on August 27, 2024, at the age of 90. Germain was a man of great integrity, kindness, and devotion to his family. Born and raised in Notre-Dame-des-Bois Québec, Canada, he lived a life that exemplified honesty, generosity, and simplicity.

Germain was never one for material things; his greatest joys came from the simple pleasures in life—whether it was a quiet conversation or time spent outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He lived a life of routine and reliability, frequenting his favorite local diner for breakfast before work, and his steady presence was a cornerstone in his family's lives.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne Lareau, his son Camille Lareau, and his daughter Louise Lareau. Germain leaves behind his cherished grandsons, Robert Lareau, Christopher (Sarah) Lareau, and Shawn (Stephanie) Lareau, and great-grandsons, Ryder and Reid. He is also survived by close friends Adam (Heather) Hartman and Chettie Fontaine who were like family to him.

Germain's legacy of love, wisdom, and family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. A celebration of his life will be held at Murphy Funeral Home on September 6th 2024 4-7pm where family and friends will gather to honor the incredible man he was.
