M. Gertrude Doyle      "Gert"

Ontario:  Gert passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 102.  She was born on November 20, 1915 to the late John and Mary "Murphy" Doyle and is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gert spent 47 years as an educator in the State of New York; having taught in the Ontario, Webster, Sodus and Williamson School districts.  She spent summer sessions as a teacher at the Syracuse Reading Centers at Chautauqua and Sagamore Lake. She was a life member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Ontario, NY, The Rosary Altar Society, Ontario Historical Society, the Civic Club, Birthright as well as others. Gert was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma of the New York State Retired Teacher's Association.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4-8 PM in St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Road, Ontario, NY 14519; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11AM.  Interment in Calvary Cemtery, Ontario, NY.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Gert may be directed to a favorite charity.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, or upload a photo, please go to www.murphyfuneralservices.com
