Kleeman, Gerti R.

Penfield/Lyons: Passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the age of 92.  Gerti was born in Germany on April 1, 1922.  She was predeceased by her husband Robert and daughter Lillian DeGlopper.  Gerti is survived by her son, Frank (Linda) Kleeman; grandchildren, David (Rebecca) Kleeman, Gretchen DeGlopper and Craig DeGlopper; nephews Thomas and Gunther, other family and friends.

Gerti, also known affectionately to many as " Oma ", came to the United States from Germany.  She had lived on Grand Island, then moved to Penfield where she raised her family.  Over the past few years she had been living at the Wayne County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lyons, NY.  Through the years, Gerti had the opportunity to travel and one of her favorite places to visit was Oberstdorf, Germany.  Gerti enjoyed German folk music and found pleasure doing needle point, knitting and crochet.  Gerti will be missed by her family.

Friends and family are invited to gather, on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 5-7PM, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY.
