Gertrude Palma

Macedon: Formerly of Hawthorne, NY.  She passed away on February 20, 2015 at age 78.  Gertrude was born in White Plains, NY on December 11, 1936, the daughter of Casimiro and Elvira (Orlando) Pucarelli.  Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Frank Palma.  She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Rick) Arkell, Laura (Rich) Eberstein and Vera (Bruce) Chapman; brother, Fred Pucarelli.  She adored her 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Valerie, Neal (Meagan), Mark (Sara), Elise, Brian and Gina.

Gertrude grew up in the Fairview section of Greenburgh, NY and graduated from St. John's High School and The Berkeley School of Secretarial Training in White Plains.  Before retirement, she was employed as a school secretary for many years at the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District in Hawthorne, NY. Gertrude was a resident of Hawthorne, NY for 44 years prior to moving with her husband to Macedon, NY in 2000.  She loved her family, friends, country, and enjoyed history, nature, books and solving crossword puzzles.
