Helen C. DeGroote

Ontario: Helen passed away on December 30, 2015.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George DeGroote; children, David (Jane)DeGroote and Richard (Cynthia) DeGroote; grandchildren, Dr. Jessica (Phil) Nelson, Douglas PTDPT (Rebecca PTDPT) DeGroote, John DeGroote; great granddaughter, Ella Reed DeGroote; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Helen retired from Wayne Central Schools as a cafeteria manager after 20 years.  She and her husband were avid campers.  Helen was a sports enthusiast and followed her children and grandchildren sporting events and interests.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Friends may join the family for Helen's calling on Saturday (January 2, 2016) from 11 AM- 2PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  A memorial service for Helen will be held on Sunday (January 3, 2016) at 1 PM at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1973 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519. Interment in Furnaceville Cemetery.  Contributions in Helen's name may be directed to the church.
