Turcotte, Helen

West Walworth:  Passed away, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the age of 86.  Helen was born on March 17, 1929 to the late William and Florence "Schueler" Burmeister.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bob; daughters, Janice (Jim Gonyeau) Ridgway, Patricia (Mike) Hecht, Roberta Turcotte and Judy (Les Medley) Turcotte; grandchildren, Shawn (Heather) Ridgway, Patrick Ridgway, Nicholas Ridgway, Danielle Capizzi, Alyson Hecht, Bryana Capizzi, Selena Turcotte, Tyler Hecht and Elijah Turcotte; great grandchildren,  twins Carter and Liam Ridgway and Carsen Baum; extended family and friends.

Helen was a member of the West Walworth Fire Department for over fifty years.  She enjoyed her neighbors and spent a lifetime offering assistance to anyone in need.  She spent many years babysitting many of the neighborhood children.  Helen was an active member of the Macedon Senior Citizens group.  She loved and enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.

All are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 4-8PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Helen's Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gebhardt Road, Penfield, NY 14526.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Baird Road, Penfield, NY.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Walworth Fire Dept., 3870 West Walworth Road, Macedon, NY 14502, or Walworth Ambulance, 2178 Church Street, Walworth, NY 14568.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
