PALMYRA: Helene M. Bailey, born to William and Anna Hazel Wales on July 13, 1937, passed peacefully on July 16, 2024. She was number 6 of 8 children having been raised in the Bloomfield area.

She is survived by Kenneth (Dr. Kirsten Forman-Bailey), Robert, David (Marcia Roberts), Roger and Don (MaryJo). Grandchildren: Kim, Rebecca, Kerri, Chelsea, Seth and MacKenzie.

Helene was a devoted and compassionate LPN at Newark Wayne hospital and Clifton Springs hospital. She also worked in hospice care for Lifetime Care and Pines of Peace, finishing her nursing career with private duty care. With boredom setting in, she spent time volunteering at the Perkins school, in Newark, and Marion Elementary in their Foster Grandparent programs.

We would like to extend our greatest appreciations to Dr. Mathew Schiralli and the nursing staff at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
