Helga LaFontaine:

Palmyra/Newark:  Passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 94.  Helga was the daughter of the late Richard and Margarette "Weber" Ilgen.  She was predeceased by her husbands, James Rapp, Gordon Gross and Joe LaFontaine.  She is survived by her son James (Linda) Gross; grandchildren, Jamie (Cindy Zalone) Gross and Sarah (Josh) Campbell; great grandchildren, Addyson, Hudson and Kennedy.

Helga was born in Germany and moved to the United States in 1930.  She worked in the medical field as a nurse.  Her interests included graphic arts, gardening, hunting and fishing. She was an avid reader and loved cats.

Services for Helga will be held privately at White Haven Memorial Park, Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
