Ion C. Walker

Palmyra: Ion was born on January 1, 1937 in Little Marsh, PA and died May 16, 2014 in Clifton Springs, NY at the age of 77.  He worked for the American Can and as a truck driver for Steve Pitts, in Williamson, NY.

Ion was predeceased by his son, James Walker; granddaughter, Kelly Zaborowski; and brother, Charles Walker.  He is survived by his loving wife Isabelle Walker; children, Steve (Sherri) Walker, Elaine (George) Blaisdell, Becky (Gary) Zehr, Keith (Kim) Walker, Larry Walker, Brian (Diane) Starkweather, Brenda (Dave) Herrmann, Barbie (Kyle) Mueller, and Beth (James) Larwood; sisters, Anna (Ernie) Johnson and Sandy Walker; brothers, Herm (Joan) Walker and Eugene (Beverly) Walker; sister-in-law, Beverly Warner; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends, and special cat, Hoppy.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Ion Wednesday (May 21, 2014) at 1:00 PM at Macedon Center United Methodist, 1160 Macedon Center Road, Macedon, NY 14502.  His burial will be private.  Contributions may be made to The Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave. Box 704 Rochester, NY 14642 in Ion's memory.  To leave the family a condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
