Webster: James passed away on January 21, 2024 at the age of 83.  James was born in Staten Island, to the late James J. and Alice Gallagher.  He was predeceased by his first wife Mildred (Mickey) Miraglia, great granddaughter Camree, and sister Jane Uggiano.  James is survived by his loving wife Mattie Smith Gallagher; children Jay (Kathy) Miraglia, Aline (Mickey) Moran, Ken (Maryann) Masco, Robert (Sherry) Fire and Jessica (Rob) Davis; grandchildren Heather, Aline, Kimberly, Nicole, Chelsae, Guy and Robbie; great grandchildren Kinsley, Colton, Cason, Rylan, Cory, Avianna, Keegan, Mousie, Amaya and Lily; sister Nancy (Danny) Gallagher; nephew Sal (Elena) Uggiano; great niece and nephew Gianna and Salvatore III.

James was born and raised in Staten Island, New York.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force.  Family was very important to James.
