James F. Rogers

Macedon:  James passed away on October 5, 2016 at age 81.  He was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late John and Stella Rogers.  James was predeceased by his brother, Leo Rogers; son, Michael Rogers; grandson, Matt Williams.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ernestine Rogers; children, Debbie (John) Williams, Patti (Thomas) Allen, Timothy (Dawn) Rogers and Gary (Melanie) Rogers; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Jane) and Howard Rogers; sisters, Irene Smith, Betty (James) Smith, Ina Wallace, Emily (Donald) Jeffrey, Glady Deagman and Eunice (Marvin) Isgur; sister-in-law, Caroline Rogers; brother-in-law, Leighton (Nancy) Bel; long time friend/hired hand, Karl Ellsworth; best friends and dogs, Bart and Twinkles.

James was a farmer his whole life.  He enjoyed farming and worked hard because he wanted to, not because he had to.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation on Monday (October 10th) from 3-7 PM at the funeral chapel, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  James' Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (October 11th) at 2 PM at Macedon Center United Methodist Church, Macedon, NY.  Interment in Macedon Village Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, "Jimmy says, save your money."
