Macedon – Jim passed away on April 14, 2022 at age 90.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles, Samuel, Paul, Joseph, Harry, and Helen.

Jim is survived by his wife, Anne Sapienza; children, James (Sharon) Sapienza, Michael Sapienza, and Joan (Tom Shea) Sapienza; siblings, Mary Sprague and Guy (Judy) Sapienza; grandchildren, Joel, Sara, Page, Nicklaus, Alec, Thomas, Noah, and Sabine; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived his life according to the tenets of his deep faith. He was a compassionate and steadfast supporter of his beloved family, friends, and community. His legal career spanning 60 years was an extension of his belief in serving others.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Wednesday (April 20) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday (April 21), 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 52 W. Main St., Macedon, NY 14502.  Jim will be laid to rest in St. Anne's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations directed to Palmyra American Legion, James R.
