James Valentine passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the age of 67. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Valentine and mother, Charlotte Howard.

James is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Kacie Munson) Valentine; son, Timothy (Jessica) Valentine; sister, Joyce (Mitch) Valentine; brother, John (Wendy) Valentine; many grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

James was a one-of-a-kind man—he was known as an outlaw, a true rebel at heart who was always 100% real.

James had an undeniable love for his leather, cars, and family. As a gifted mechanic, he could fix just about anything. He had his moments of stubbornness—especially when it came to spending money. His family lovingly teased him about being a tightwad and cheap, but that was just part of his charm. James had a secret romantic side, quietly collecting notes and letters that captured moments close to his heart, revealing a man who felt deeply beneath his rugged exterior.

James had a strong affinity for country music as well as horses. He enjoyed his solitude but cherished the time spent with his daughter and grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy.

As we remember James, let us hold onto the laughter, the love, and the memories that made him who he was—a one-of-a-kind soul who lived life on his own terms. Rest easy, James; you were 100% real, and you will be missed.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 23 from 1-3pm followed immediately by a memorial service at 3pm at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 St. Rt. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
