Griffith, Jane B.

Ontario/Delhi, NY: Passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the age of 68.  Born on April 24, 1946 to Elizabeth and Ezra Brooks in Cortland, NY, Jane was predeceased by both her parents and her sister Ruth Coy.  She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob; daughters, Angie (Jeff) Lay and Cate Griffith; grandson, Alex Lay; brother John (Betty) Brooks; sisters, Mary Urlaub, Joan (Jerry) Thomas and Lois (Tom) Yacavone, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Jane loved to knit and enjoyed playing cards; she especially enjoyed poker.  She was "Grandma Choo Choo" to her grandson Alex who was the joy of her life.  Jane and Bob moved to the area five years ago to be near their daughters.  All are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 9-11AM, where a service will follow, at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Interment will follow at Furnaceville Cemetery.  Memorials in memory of Jane may be made to a charity of your choice.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
