Vanderbrook, Janis Eileen

Ontario:  Passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the age of 92.  Janis was born on March 21, 1922 to the late Glen and Annabell Covey in Rochester, NY.  She was predeceased by her husband John F. Vanderbrook in 2009; survived by her daughter Jileen Crawford; son, John G. (Christina) Vanderbrook; grandchildren, Eileen (Nick) Rockey, Jason (Elaine) Crawford, Mya Vanderbrook and John S. Vanderbrook; great grandsons Jason Crawford II and Johnathan Reynolds, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Janis was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over fifty years.  She enjoyed cooking, listening to upbeat music and doing crafts.  Janis enjoyed spending time with her friends.  All are invited to gather at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 3:30 to 7PM for a time of visitation.   A service to celebrate the life of Janis will be offered on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11AM at the First Baptist Church of  Ontario, 1929 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Interment will follow at Furnaceville Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com
