Jean C. Denison

Macedon: Jean passed away suddenly on April 11, 2018 at age 77.  She was born in Ithaca, NY to the late Fenton and Margaret Canfield.  She was also predeceased by her husband, George T. Denison; sons, Frank T. and Thomas E. Denison.  Jean is survived by her brother, Donnald Canfield; daughter, Laurie D. Thomsen; nieces, Piper Mckenna; grandchildren, Sara (Aaron) Hanks, Karly (John) Mahoney and Thomas G. Denison; great grandchildren, Leila and Brendan Shade; many dear friends.

Jean loved quilting but had a lifelong devotion to genealogy studies.  She had researched and collected a great amount of information and had a few articles published in the New England Journal of Genealogy.  Jean retired from Xerox after 30 years of service.

A memorial service for Jean will be held on Thursday (April 19) at 2:30 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Interment in Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory may be directed to Pet Pride of New York, 7731 Victor Mendon Rd., Victor NY, 14564.  To share a memory or condolence to Jean's family, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
