Jean M. Porray

Ontario:  Jean was born on January 28, 1925 in West Walworth, NY and passed away on September 12, 2015 in Penfield, NY at age 90.  She was predeceased by her husband, Roswell Porray; parents, Herman and Christina Abraham; brothers, Carl and Gerald Abraham; grandson, Timothy Porray.  Jean is survived by her children, Douglas Porray and Sharon and Gordon Levine; grandchildren, David (Alisha) Porray, Robyn (Scott) Johnson, Scott (Nicole) Porray, Alexander Levine and Christina (Jonathan Geer) Levine; granddaughter-in-law, Tiare Porray; 17 great grandchildren, Kazeley, Madison, Isaac, Maxwell, Chloe, Taylor, Maleah, Abigail, Rylee, Saige, Jaxson, Kayla, Mason, Taylynn, Ariyana, Liam and Deidre; sister-in-law, June Abraham; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was an avid bowler in numerous leagues and loved to dance at the Holland American Club. Even at her age, she would keep up her bowling skills, playing Wii bowling with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved bird watching, gardening, cooking and helping her family and friends in any way she could.

Friends may join the family for Jean's calling hours on Friday (September 18) from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday (September 19) at 11 AM.  Interment in Furnaceville Cemetery.  Contributions in Jean's name may be directed to, any veterans organization, WXXI or a charity of choice.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
