Joan was a life-long learner and avid reader. She enjoyed taking classes at nearby Nazareth University and was an accomplished baker and gourmet cook. Joan was a loyal friend with many lifelong relationships she enjoyed over many years.
One of Joan's greatest joys in life were the many cats she adopted and rescued over the years. She gained the nickname "Cat Whisperer". Joan volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels delivering meals to those confined at home for many years. She supported the St. Joseph Indian School for Lakota Sioux Native Americans. Joan also volunteered for the Association of the Blind and learned to read and type in braille.
We are so grateful for the kindness, care and companionship, and love Joan received from family, volunteers, and caregivers throughout the last several years.
