Moll, Joan M.

Williamson:  Passed away suddenly, on April 13, 2014, at the age of 75.  Joan is greatly loved by her family.  She was predeceased by her parents Percy Moon and Marie Moon Perry, husband Edward, and brother Richard Moon.  Survivors include her four children; Drs. Barbara (Clark) Godshall, Thomas (Mary Jo) Moll, Christopher (Linda) Moll and Jennifer (David) Kehoe; five grandchildren; Abram, Joseph, Luke, Thomas and Elizabeth; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The Moll family has owned and operated their family farm in Williamson for many years. Fall was probably Joan's favorite time of year; and Halloween was a favorite holiday for Joan and many people in the area remember the very large pumpkins that were available to the community.  In addition, Joan use to put a lot of time and effort into her blueberry section of the family farm stand.  In keeping with the farming, Joan enjoyed gardening and had been active with the farm bureau in years past.  In recent years, Joan and Edward had been involved with the Wayne County Republican Party.   St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church was also an important part of Joan's life.  She was active with the choir, participated as a eucharistic minister and the Martha Ministry.  Joan was also a folk art painter and belonged to the HSEAD Guild for many years.  Finally, Joan enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.  Her son, Tom, recalls her being a Cub Scout Leader when he and his brother were growing up.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Walworth Road, Ontario.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Ontario.  Memorials in memory of Joan may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1120 Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620,  The American Heart Association 3500 Winton Place, Suite 4, Rochester, NY 14623, or charitable organization of your choice.
