"Joe"

Marion: Joe passed away on October 6, 2016 at age 78.  He was born in Rochester, NY to the late William and Elizabeth Vendel.  Joe was predeceased by his brother, William "Bill" Vendel; brother-in-law, Louis Prahler.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Deborah B. Vendel; children, Jonathan S. (Diane) and Chris R. Vendel; grandchildren, Jodi, Joseph, Christopher and Michelle Vendel; sister, Christina "Tina" Prahler; sister-in-law, Betty Vendel; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Joe was a lifelong member of the Walworth Sportsman Club.  He was very active in outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and trapshooting.  For many years, Joe was a member of the Operating Engineers Union, Local 832.

Family and friends may join for a time of visitation on Wednesday (October 12) from 5-8 PM at the funeral chapel, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14519.  Private interment in Oakwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
