On August 9, 2015 in the comfort of his home in The Villages, Florida at the age of 73.  He is predeceased by his parents, John and Grace; sister, Nancy (Gordon) Van Hall. Survived by his loving wife Mary Ellen; sons, Daniel (Lisa) and Dennis (Melanie) Blankenberg; daughter Michelle Blankenberg; three stepchildren, Gary (Kristine) Phillips, Brian (Rachel) Ventura, and Steve Ventura; his dearly loved 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

There are no prior visitation hours.  Family and friends are invited to gather for John's memorial service, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11AM at White Haven Memorial Park.  Interment at the cemtery will be private.
