John J. Hessney

Palmyra:   Entered into rest on Monday, September 14 th , 2015 at age 89 and together again with his loving wife, Josephine.  John is survived by his son, John (Elizabeth) Hessney, daughters, Joanne (Roger) DePuyt, Marcia Savage and grandchildren, James Andre III, Ashleigh Andre, Theresa (Shane) Kassler, Douglas DePuyt and great granddaughter, Mikayla Kassler.

John was a Xerox retiree, WWII Veteran and most of all, a devoted father and grandfather who passed his love for fishing onto his grandchildren.  His absence will leave an empty place in the hearts of family and friends.

Friends and family may call Friday, September  18th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY  14522.  John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (September 18th) at 2:00 pm at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in St. Anne's Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY.  Interment at St. Anne's Cemetery, Palmyra.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
