John R. Mousso

"Jigger"

Marion: Passed away into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at age 75.  John was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Sherron "Vogt" Mousso; parents, Pvt. 1st Class Douglas and Elizabeth Mousso.  He is survived by his children, Jeff (Cindy) Mousso, Brenda (Ron) Martin, Virginia (Norman) Mayville, Jeanette Cooper, Margaret (Louis) Walker, Mark Mousso, John Jr. (Lisa) Mousso and Michelle Hoyt; twenty four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen, Susan and Maryanne; brothers, Douglas and Alvin; other family and friends; survived by his loving cats.

John worked as a carpenter for Rochester Davis & Fetch and retired from the Marion Water Department as a Water Superintendent. He enjoyed being outdoors especially at his family camp on Oneida Lake, where he would spend much of his time fishing.  John was also an avid deer hunter, gardener and enjoyed trapping.  One of John's hobbies was collecting hunting buttons, which he collected many.  He will be missed.

Friends may join the family on Friday (June 5) from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (June 6) at 10 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY.  Interment will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery.  Memorials in memory of John may be directed to Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth (NY Connects), 1519 Nye Rd., Suite 300, Lyons, NY 14489.
