Lockwood, Karl W.

Macedon:  Passed away, at his home with his family by his side, on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the age of 64.  Karl was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 7, 1950.  He was predeceased by his mother Alice Wolford Lockwood. He is survived by his life partner and fiance, Pam Lauzon; her children, Michelle (Allen) Wixson and Nathan Snyder; her grandchildren, Frankielynn Wixson and Chris Vetato; father, Kenneth Lockwood and many friends.

Karl was a master electrician with R. MacDonald of Victor, NY. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  One of Karl's passions was bowhunting.  Karl was a longtime member and past president (1999-2003) of the New York State Bowhunter's Association. One program within the association is the Physically Challanged.  This program is designed to allow individuals who may have paralysis, or anything which may challange their ability to bowhunt, to participate successfully in the sport of bowhunting.  This is a program that meant a lot to Karl and for which he dedicated a lot of his time and effort.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 3PM, at the American Legion, Post 494, 76 West Main Street, Macedon, NY 14502, for a time of celebration of Karl's life. Memorial donations in memory of Karl may be directed to the American Heart Association, or to the New York State Bowhunters Assocition, PO Box 1157, Canandaigua, NY 14424.  The family would like to express their gratitude and offer a " thank you" t o the many doctors, nurses and friends who offered their skill, time and compassion towards Karl over the past couple of years.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
