Kevin M. Howell (1961-2023)

Kevin M. Howell of Newark NY passed away on July 11th, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, and children Christopher, Brenna and Meagan (Abby); grandchildren Mia and Oliver Peterson-Howell; mother Dorothy Howell; brother David Howell; sister Susan Walsh (Patrick), brothers and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Predeceased by his father, Frederick Howell.

Kevin was born December 28, 1961, and raised in Rochester NY, where he made many lifelong friends. He met his wife in August of 1981 and built a strong, loving family over their 40-year marriage. They moved to Newark NY in 1986 to raise their three children. He always supported his children in all their pursuits and especially loved attending their sporting events. Kevin was a loyal, hardworking person who spent the last 24 years working for Ultralife Corporation.

His lifelong love of lacrosse included participating on youth, high school and semi-professional teams, as well as watching his children play and refereeing for GVLOA. He and Lynne were also season ticket holders for the Rochester Knighthawks and enjoyed attending all games and events.

He was passionate about family, sports, superheroes, new adventures and most recently, his grandchildren, who kept him laughing. While sarcasm was his first language, he was the rock of the family and always found the most kind and compassionate words. He was thoughtful, generous and a constant source of wisdom and guidance.

His big heart, jokes and laughter will truly be missed. A celebration of life will be held later this month.
