Kurt D. Murdock

Phoenix, AZ/Liverpool, NY: Passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021.  Kurt was born in Syracuse, NY, Thursday,  September 24, 1964.  Kurt was a 1983 graduate of Liverpool High School.  Kurt enjoyed many years of competitive swimming; and was a member of the Liverpool High School varsity swim program under legendary Coach Jim Funiciello.  Kurt's best experiences, and memories,  came under Coach Funiciello.  Kurt was a sweet, kind soul who struggled with demons throughout his life.  His family has comfort knowing he is now at peace.  Kurt is survived by his partner of 30 years, Lloyd Vacovsky of Phoenix, AZ; his parents, Carol and Robert Murdock of Liverpool, NY; and sister Andrea (Dennis) Sackett of Pennellville, NY; as well as his niece and nephew, several aunts, an uncle and cousins.  All services are private.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, or to upload a photo please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
