MARION: Age 60, passed away on Sunday, July 31st. She was born on May 23rd, 1956 to Helen and Sonny Peets and is survived by her husband of forty-one years, James; their six children Kelly (Christian), Kevin (Shayne), Michael (Emily), Melissa, James L. (Holly) and William; siblings Dianna (Bill), Kenny (Marie), David and Judy (Tom) as well as fourteen grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Before she became ill, Laura raised many different pets and farmyard animals--- including her beloved horses Sonny and Buck (now deceased). She was an adventurous spirit who learned various occupations earlier in her life including bus driving, caregiving, hair dressing and photograph development at Jostens. Laura was well liked by her co-workers and friends for her humor and unceasing ability to make others laugh. Though she had various endeavors throughout her life, what Laura placed above all else was her family. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who cherish her for her spirit, devotion and humor.

There will be a gathering to honor and celebrate Laura's life on Sunday, August 7th at her daughter Kelly Lake's house. Advised time of arrival is at 1:00pm. The service will be held at 2:00pm with refreshments to follow. Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
