"Larry"

Palmyra:  Larry was born on December 17, 1922 and passed away on August 17, 2014.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Kessler Weykman; children, Marjorie (Skip) Dutton, Judy (Steve) Herrick and Edward (Jennifer) Weykman; grandchildren, Chris (Carissa), Julie (Jean), Michael (Tracey), Robin (Mike), Jason (Lori), Daniel (Kim) and Amy; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Zachary, Ella, Jacob, Aiyana, Austin and Adam; niece, Dora Newcombe.

On January 14, 1943, Larry enlisted into the Air Force and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged on December 22 1946.  Larry and his wife Ruth raised their family in Palmyra, NY, where he owned his own trucking company for 40 years.  He enjoyed going camping with his family and having family gatherings.  Larry was an avid gardener, reader and loved playing euchre, square dancing and learning history.  He was a long time member of Palmyra United Methodist Church and of the Newark Grange.

Friends may join the family Tuesday (August 19) from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY, where his funeral service will be held Wednesday (August 20) at 11AM.  Interment in East Newark Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to the ABVI, www.seegreatthings.com or to a charity of choice.  To leave the family a condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
