IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lee R.
Cross
January 15, 1955 – May 31, 2022
Lee R. Cross
Marion – Lee passed away on May 31, 2022 at age 67. He was born in Rochester, NY to Harry and Joan Cross. Lee was predeceased by his father, Harry Cross; brother, Kevin Cross; and wife, Karen Cross.
Lee is survived by his children, Adam Cross, Katie (Jeff) Decker, Trista Stone, Tracy (Jeff) Cahoon; grandchildren, Gracie, Clayton, and Mason Decker, Nash and Noah Cahoon; mother, Joan Cross; siblings, Lori (Jeff) Elliott and Jodi (Richard Richter) Cross; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lee's humble outlook, passionate excitement, and loving presence will be dearly missed. He was well known for his sense of humor, that even in the most frustrating of circumstances, could make you stop and laugh at yourself. He had a childlike sense of wonder that was contagious to everyone that knew him.
He loved classical music, hymns, and long scenic drives. He had a lifelong career at Garlock's and loved his trade. His greatest passion was being with his grandchildren and could often be found rolling around on the ground in a heap with them. Lee loved sharing photos of his grandchildren and their accomplishment with extended family. He volunteered in church ministry, jail ministry, and was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church. He always spoke very freely of his Christian faith.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 AM – 1 PM on Saturday (June 4) at Heritage Baptist Church, 2367 Palmyra-Marion Road, Palmyra, NY, where Lee's funeral service will be held at 1 PM. Lee will be laid to rest in Marion Cemetery.
