ONTARIO, NY: Leonard A Roberts, 63, passed peacefully Thursday March 10th, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
Born December 27th, 1958 in Fort Edward to Jane Elizabeth Roberts and the late Leonard A. Roberts, Len was a 1977 graduate of Fort Edward High School and 1981 Graduate of the University of Rochester. He married his wife of 39 years, Tracy Ann Kiefer on June 5th 1982. He worked for Wegmans Food Markets for 31 years holding various positions and retiring from human resources in 2018, and then enjoyed working at the Home Depot.
Len loved cooking, gardening, boating, campfires, and sewing. He also enjoyed building and doing DIY projects with his daughters and friends. Len was a song leader and also enjoyed singing in the church choir.
He was a loving father and grandfather "Pa" who cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He enthusiastically attended his daughter's activities through the years. His joyful boisterous laugh echoed through the air and was contagious.
He was predeceased by his father, Leonard A. Roberts. Len is survived by his wife, Tracy Roberts; his three daughters, Elizabeth (Trevor) Szklany, Sarah J. Roberts (Dan Morell), Lauren (Nicolas) Femia; grandchildren, Ezra Adam Szklany and Charley Elizabeth Femia of Rochester. Len is also survived by his mother, Jane Elizabeth Roberts; brothers, Jeffrey (Theresa) Roberts, Thomas (Marian) Roberts ,Timothy (Deborah) Roberts, Aunt Judy (Murray) Broderick; father-In law, Rene Kiefer; sisters-In-law, Colleen Smith, Susan (James) Reszetucha; several nieces, nephews, cousins and fur babies.
Friends and family may call Monday (March 14) from 4-7pm at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday March 15th at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Road, Ontario NY. Len will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
