Leta M. Jones

Palmyra:  Leta was born on May 22, 1925 in Walworth, NY and passed away on October 9, 2015 at age 90.  She was predeceased by her husband, Leo F. Jones.  Leta is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Kelwin "Butch") Bush and Leo E. "Skip" Jones; granddaughters, Kelly Bush and Tawnya (Mike) Cook; great grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Cook; many nieces and nephews.

Leta was a person of great character, had a good sense of humor and worked hard her whole life.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, who took pride in her home, family and cooking.  Leta will be dearly missed.

Friends may join Leta's family from 6-8 PM on Tuesday (October 13) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY.  Leta's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (October 14) at 9 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY.  Her burial will be held in St. Anne's Cemetery.  Contributions in Leta's name may be directed to the Jewish Home, 2021 S.
