IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda A.
Benedict
September 26, 1955 – July 16, 2024
Palmyra - Linda A. Benedict, passed away on July 16, 2024 at the age of 68. Born to the late Donald and Betty Jean Roets, Linda was also predeceased by her sons, Larry II and Lee Benedict. Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Benedict; daughter, Laurie (Peter) Schultz; grandchildren, Hailey, Haiden, and Harper; siblings, Dick (Chris) Roets, Bonnie (Chris) D'Ercole, Tom (Kim) Roets, Sheila (Mike) Wallenhorst, Julie Letta, Tim (Ally) Roets; many nieces and nephews; aunts, uncle and cousins.
Linda grew up in Macedon, NY and attended Palmyra Macedon High School. During her senior year, she also began her 45 year career at Lawyer's Coop (ultimately turning into Thomson Reuters) as a legal analyst. She was a leader from behind the scenes, mediator and a friend to all around her. Her highest priority was her family; Linda and Larry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September of 2023. She lovingly cared for her sons, supporting Larry II during his leukemia battle and tending to her aging parents. She loved traveling to Georgia to visit her daughter, son in law and grandchildren. Linda enjoyed staying connected with her siblings and meeting for lunch and laughs. She was well-loved, leaving a positive impression on everyone she encountered. Linda will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Monday (July 22) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY, where a funeral service to honor Linda's memory will be held on Tuesday (July 23) at 11:00 am. Linda will be laid to rest in Macedon Town Cemetery.
