Cook, Linda L.

Palmyra:  Passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the age of 68.  Linda was born on July 5, 1946 in Newark, NY the daughter of Edward and Frances "Bodine" DeWeaver.  She is predeceased by her mother; survived by her father Edward; husband of 43 years Nelson; children, Karen (Mark) Ocque, Allison McGrath and Bradley (Becky Smith) Cook; brothers, Edward DeWeaver, Richard (Barb) DeWeaver; grandchildren, Jonah, Emma, Colleen McGrath,  Aunt Katherine and Uncle Russell Bodine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family recalls how much Linda enjoyed baking; and how she also enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 6-9PM at the Palmyra First United Methodist Church, 109 Church Street, Palmyra, NY 14522. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, 10AM, at the church.  Interment to follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Linda may be made to the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation, attention ICU, 1200 Driving Park Avenue, Newark, NY 14513, or to the National Parkinson Foundation of Greater Rochester, PO Box 23204, Rochester, NY 14692. Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
