Fairport: Lois Corrine Guidice Murray "Connie", age 87, died peacefully Saturday, December 3, 2016, surrounded by her children after medical complications.  Predeceased by her husband Robert (2014) and sons, Randy (1980) & Jeffrey (2000).  Lois is survived by her son, John;  Daughters, Robin (Robert) Murray Parkes and Karen (Emmett) Lang.

Connie graduated from Rochester Institute of Rochester in 1950 and moved to the Washington area where she was a department manager at The Hecht Company.  She later worked for US Life before moving back to the Rochester area in 1975.  Connie loved her family and enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, and summering at Silver Lake.  She was a familiar face at the Pittsford YMCA and at the Perinton Community Center and even had her photo on the side of the Rochester city bus in an ad for the Silver Sneakers program.  She had a zest for life and had a positive outlook.  She passed on those traits to her children who love exercising, gardening, art, cooking, and the outdoors.

Due to extenuating family circumstances, the originally scheduled calling and memorial service set to be on Saturday, January 21, 2017   at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502 has been canceled.  A private service will take place at a later date.    Please consider organ donation; as it was through the gift of donation that Lois was able to live her final ten years of a full and enjoyable life.  Many thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and staff for their great skill and caring which helped Mom thrive over the years.  We cannot say enough about how much we all appreciate it! Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Strong Memorial Friends of Strong Transplant Fund.
