Lois B. Aylesworth:

Rochester, Marion and West Winfield, NY: Passed away on Saturday, September 10. 2016 at the age of 92.  Lois was born in Rochester, NY on December 10, 1923 to the late Lawrence and Marjorie "Hatch" Steele.  Lois was predeceased by her husband Daryl Aylesworth.  She is survived by her sister-in-law Janet Aylesworth; children, James (Patty Jo) Aylesworth and Betty (Bill) Compeau; grandchildren, James (Krystina) Aylesworth, Jennifer (Joshua) Butler, Billy (Ashley) Compeau, Matt Campeau, and Katie (Javier) Jiminez; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Colton, Meera, Ava, Ysabel, Madison, Maddox, Riley and Piper, extended family and friends.

Lois was a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  She went on to be a teacher, following her graduation, at Mount Markam Central Schools, in West Winfield, NY (South of Utica, NY).  Lois was dedicated to her faith and her church through the years and had most recently been attending the First United Methodist Church in Palmyra, NY.  Lois had been active with the Order of Eastern Star for many years.  Some of Lois' hobbies included playing the piano, baking and swimming. Lois also enjoyed sewing and knitting.  She enjoyed spending time with family and especially camping and sitting around the campfire with them.  She will be missed by all who knew her but fondly remembered.

There will be no services in Rochester.  A graveside service will be held at the West Winfield Cemetery, West Main Street,  West Winfield, NY 13491,  on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11AM.  Memorials in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
