Lonnie Roger Schilstra

Ontario: Lonnie was born on June 6, 1946 and passed away on November 21, 2014 at age 68.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Schilstra; son, Dale Lon Schilstra; brother, Floyd (Linda) Schilstra; mother-in-law, Anna Keeley; cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lonnie was a Penfield school teacher for 33 years and coached various sports teams.  He had a passion for stained glass, fishing and photography.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Michael Kukfa for his devoted care and friendship.

Friends may join the family on Tuesday (November 25) from 3-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (November 26) at 10 AM at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, NY.
