Louis James Malone

Macedon: Formerly of Palmyra, NY, passed away on May 15, 2019 at age 91.  He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Malone; brother, Joseph Malone; sisters, Mary DePaepe and Flora Appleton.

Louis is survived by his sons, Mark (Sue) and Jeffrey Malone; daughters, LouAnn (Tom) Bare and Teresa (Mark) Crittenden; grandchildren, Rick, Jared (Rachel), Brock (Tina), Todd, Eric (Syletha) and Nina (Ryan); great granddaughter, Gwendolyn; sisters, Caroline Graulich and Rose Malone; sisters-in-law, Elaine Eagley and Alice Appleton; brother-in-law, Paul Appleton, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He worked for the American Can for over 40 years and was a member of the Palmyra American Legion, Post 120 for many years.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 2-5 PM on Saturday (May 18) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (May 20), 10 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 63 Mason Rd., Fairport, NY.  Interment in St. Anne's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Louis' memory may be directed to American Lung Association, www.lung.org or American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
