Hatch, Margaret

Sodus/Webster/Rochester:  Died peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the age of 91.  Margaret was predeceased by her husband Gerald Hatch in April of 1993.  She is survived by her children; Pamela "Pam" Hatch of Ontario, NY and Bruce Hatch of Long Beach, CA.  Margaret was born on August 15, 1922 in Hawaii where her family was from.  When she and Jerry were married, they moved to Watertown, NY and later to Latham, NY where they spent many years and raised both of their children.  Upon retirement, Jerry and Margaret would winter in Florida and return back to NY in the summer where they would live at the family camp on Summit Lake in Argyle, NY.  Margaret love to talk about Hawaii and how she met her husband and they moved to "that cold and snowy Watertown".  When Jerry passed away, Margaret lived with Pam and later moved to Bay Wind in Webster, then to the Presbyterian Home in the City of Rochester, NY and finally to Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus, NY.

There will be no vistitation.  A Memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, 10AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Interment will take place at a later date, next to her husband, at Calvary Cemetery (church cemetery), Ontario, NY.  Memorials in memory of Margaret may be made to the Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Road, Rochester, Ny 14619.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
