Macedon /Elmira:  Marion passed away on Tuesday,  August 5, 2014 after a brief illness.  Born in Elmira, NY on August 7, 1920 to Hugh and Pauline Hoy, she is predeceased by her parents; brother Hugh; and her husband, of over 62 years, Michael in 2007.  Marion is survived by her son Michael III; daughter, Patricia (Alan) Stabinsky; sister, Jane (Robert) Wolff; brother, James (Jean) Hoy; grandchildren, Polly (Chris) Moyer, Christopher Bennett, Michael IV; special friend Jamie Golden; great grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Grace and Tyler; step-grandchildren Heather Stabinsky and Kelly (Andrew) Soike; step-great grandchildren, Katie, Brooke, Christopher, and Brynne; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marion was born and raised in Elmira, NY; and spent all but the last seven years of her life as a resident of Elmira.  She loved her family above everything else and enjoyed the opportunity to watch over her great grandchildren in recent years.  She loved her home, gardening, sewing  and all the things that go into making a house and yard into a family home.  She and Michael enjoyed playing bridge and entertaining family.

A Memorial Service will be held at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY, on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 1:30 PM where she will be interred with her husband.  Memorials in memory of both Michael and Marion Buffalin may be made to the Tanglewood Nature Center, 443 Coleman Ave., Elmira, NY 14903.
