Mary Ellen Marullo/Porterfield/Fava passed on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the age of age 68.  Leaving my home, I leave my loving husband Frank J. Fava, Sr., giving thanks for being the best husband you could, and always having my back.  My only, who I adore, sister Joanne C. Marvin; ½ brother Joseph John from deceased father Joseph A. Marullo and my dear deceased mother Bette Vangellow.  I leave behind on my journey special aunts, stepchildren and grandchildren, fun cousins and other loving family members; a very special friend, Gaye Chapman, who I am grateful to have shared so many secrets together with lessons of love and kindness.  To all my friends, my X's, and people that I've had the pleasure to share laughs, love, and to make the existing world a more caring place, you know who you are.  Keep smiling.  Remember to give thanks to the food in front of you, the friends and family next to you, and the love between you.  Give thanks to those not present.

There will be a private funeral service.  Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Memorials in memory of Mary Ellen may be directed in the form of a donation to Planned Parenthood , WARE (Wayne Action for Racial Equality), or a charity of your choice.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, or to upload a photo please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.

Mary Ellen was a force of nature.  She left this world with thunder and lightning.  She left her home with the sun shining on her face, and the lake at her side.
